We have always chose a cabin for our large extended family. It all changes when The Highlands were completed. The condos are super quiet and perfect for sleeping late & eating in, Appreciated the thick floors & walls because we brought several little ones this time. We booked a total of 5 rooms for peak fall season. They did not disappoint. We had a few of the teens with us that missed the pool table and the arcade games. The pool was definitely not heated so there were little disappointed in that as well. Nice hot tub & gas fire pits. No carpet, wide halls & large showers. Do wish showers had seats in them however. I would honestly say that the property is geared more to adults than children, which is perfectly fine for our family. Lastly, I would like to see better care taken in the landscape all around condos. We did see a teen bear two different times on back lawn area! Big smiles from all. Thank you.

We stayed in Penthouse 503 at Highlands of the Smokies and it was absolutely perfect. The condo was beautiful, spacious, and spotless with plenty of room to relax and feel at home. The highlight was definitely the amazing views from the balcony. Watching the mountains change throughout the day was breathtaking and made our trip so special.

The penthouse itself was very well appointed with everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, the living space was cozy yet upscale, and the bedrooms were large and comfortable. It felt both luxurious and inviting.

The location was great too. Peaceful and tucked away, yet only a short drive to Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and the Smoky Mountain National Park. After exploring all day, coming back to Penthouse 503 felt like a true retreat.

We cannot recommend Highlands of the Smokies enough, especially Penthouse 503. If you are looking for comfort, space, and jaw dropping views, this is the place to stay. We are already looking forward to coming back.

From the moment we walked in, the views were breathtaking. They decorated it very nice. The kitchen is stocked extremely well. The place feels very luxurious and high-end. The beds were comfortable. And having the en suite bathrooms was great. Things that they could improve on is hooks in the bathroom for your towels to dry and better lighting in the bathroom above the sinks. Maybe installing a lighted make up mirror would offset that. The on-site staff was helpful if you had any questions or any problems. They were very responsive. We look forward to our return visit.

If you’re staying for more than a couple days, I recommend bringing a couple extra rolls of toilet paper. A couple dishwasher pods. And if you wanted to toss in one or two loads of laundry, you need to bring laundry soap. They only provide you the toilet paper that’s on the holder. No extras. And for the dishwasher, they only provide you one dish, dishwashing soap.

Overall it was fine. Additional towel bars in the bathrooms would be an improvement.
