Stunning Views!
We chose Highlands of the Smokies and this unit specifically due to being owners of a condo in the original Highlands which were destroyed in the Gatlinburg fires. The views in this unit were absolutely stunning and exactly as we remembered. The rates are reasonable. It is tastefully decorated, very well appointed and extremely comfortable. We had an issue with the coffee maker which was addressed quickly and a new one provided immediately. My suggestions would be to add some type of window covering in the living/kitchen area as it is difficult to sit in the glaring sun during the afternoons. Also, the installation of hooks to hang damp towels would be helpful. Even with these suggestions, we would not hesitate to stay again at The Highlands of the Smokies and highly recommend them.
Smokies With A View
This was our second year at the Highlands of the Smokies and we couldn't be happier with our stay. This is a beautiful condo complex situated on a mountain overlooking Gatlinburg. The day and night views are spectacular! The condos are well appointed with high end appliances, comfortable furnishings and beds. It is a great place to stay and the friendly staff is very accommodating.
