From the moment you drive across the low-water bridge that leads to the cabin, you'll know you have found a little piece of paradise. River's Edge is tucked away in the woods on the river. It's wooded in the back and the front has a small lawn area/river beach with a campfire ring perfect for the late evenings by the water. The cabin itself has a wraparound porch with charcoal grill, chairs and a picnic table on the front for eating outside. The hot tub is located around the far side of the cabin for extra privacy. Step inside and you'll walk past two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The hallway opens up into a well appointed kitchen and open great room area with a romantic fireplace. River's Edge is equipped with cable TV service for entertainment and a washer/dryer unit. The great room includes a sleeper sofa. Each room has been tastefully decorated with modern furnishings and accessories. The master bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom also offers a queen-size bed. A Queen sleeper sofa is also located in the great room. This is a great property if you're looking to spend some time fishing, floating in the river or bicycling on Railroad Grade Road. Whether you're spending a weekend or a week, you won't want to go back home! Please note that this property absolutely does not permit pets anywhere in or on the premises at any time including outdoor spaces. Bona fide service animals with appropriate certification may be permitted, and the presence of a certified service animal must be disclosed prior to check-in. Misrepresenting a pet as a certified service animal is a crime under North Carolina law. Guests who bring a pet to a no-pet home will be subject to a non-refundable $500 extra cleaning fee to remove pet hair and dander and clean carpets and upholstery. If any pets are discovered during your tenancy including via security camera or observation of neighbors or BRMR staff, your credit card on file will be charged for the above-mentioned fee, and you will be evicted without refund of unused days. Additional Important Notes: - All BRMR homes offer well stocked kitchens with all utensils needed to cook meals. There is also a "starter set" of paper products at the house: a roll of toilet paper per bath, several garbage bags, a small vial of dishwashing liquid, a few tablets of dishwasher detergent, some laundry pods, a roll of paper towels, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and some makeup remover cloths. There are enough of these items for one night, or maybe two. We do not provide hair dryers. Towels and linens will be provided. - Check in is after 4pm and Checkout is by 10am - Must be at least 25 years old to reserve. This person is required to be the person signing the agreement and must be one of the persons staying in the property for the reserved dates. - No smoking inside the home. No trace of smoking left outside the home. - Do not leave food or trash outside as it could attract animals. All trash must be bagged and placed in the trash receptacle indicated in the Welcome Book inside the house or your digital guidebook. - No parties or gatherings above the posted occupancy allowed at any time. Keep outside noise respectable. - 4WD/AWD and/or chains recommended during winter (Nov-March) for all homes. Travelers visiting during the winter months where inclement weather may be possible should come prepared with an AWD or 4WD vehicle, and chains may also be required if it snows.
