2024 Christmas Trip
The cabin was as expected. They had a pretty lit Christmas tree set up for us and it was perfect for our Christmas celebration. We brought some additional lights and decorations! The hot tub, fire pit, and cabin were warm, clean, and cozy for the 6 of us (all adults). Only a few issues, the sheets on the beds were like sand paper and the sheets in the Master kept sliding off the corners of the mattress. Luckily we were usually too tired to care, but might have had a better nights sleep with softer sheets. (We considered bringing our own and wished we had.) Only found one extra blanket in the cabin, would have been good to have extras for all three rooms. Could have used some big bowls for mixing and serving, a dish drying rack, a broom & dustpan, but there were none, the kitchen was otherwise well equipped. We had to fill the hot tub water as it was too low to cycle through the filter and was barely up to our chests. But it worked well and we used it every day! (Fits 4 people), a couple more chairs or a bench by the fire pit would be helpful too. Outside of that, we had a really great time staying in the cabin and it gave us that campy feel we were looking for. Central location too, close to everything. Best day of our trip was free, hiking in Smoky Mountain National Park, but we did do the big mountain coaster at Skyland Ranch and visited a few distilleries in Gatlinburg! The locals are all super nice people and treated us like friends!
