Beautiful But Exhausting To Deal With:/
Im going to be completely honest, because that is what reviews are for. While the cabin was beautiful and family friendly there are some very big cons of our 4 day December stay worth sharing- first of all, not having a water heater classifies a unit as unlivable in much of america, however we had no water heater for 2 out of the 4 days we stayed! While we were patient and kind we grew fed up with the empty promises, dealing with children who needed a bath desperately and unfortunately due to their empty promises had eczema flare ups! Since we had waterpark plans for my son’s birthday and left heading out - with the promise of returning to hot water!
The fact that I spent hours a day for those 2 days dealing with management/maintenance was truly exhausting and put a huge damper on enjoying a vacation.
Unfortunately, the most they were willing to offer was 1/2 each night we did not have water refunded, and a show/attraction asside from dollywood- but due to the originally chosen show wanting to exclude my disabled child, explorie themselves ended up comping our tickets! So bear tracts got off covering nothing.. disappointing. In addition there are no nightstands, and the master bed was not that comfortable! The views however were breathtaking but not worth the headache that was dealing with no hot water! Especially as we specifically booked a cabin with a kitchen to cook for our 5 kids, and had no hot water to cook with or wash dishes, easily raised the cost of our vacation by a few hundred dollars, in addition to time spent trying to track down an actual repair happening.. HOURS I LOST ON MY SONS BIRTHDAY arent replacable.
The bear we saw on his special day, the wonderful views and all the games except one (not working.. ) were lovely though.
If you want a beautiful headache.. maybe but I may go with a different company next time!
