Family Reunion in the Smoky Mountains

We enjoyed our week at the cabin. It is quite spacious and had plenty of room to spread out across the 3 floors. Every bedroom has its own bathroom sink which help not tie up bathrooms. Also the 3 floors let us separate easily at night as the early birds could retire while others stayed up and conversed. The decks that wrapped around 2 sides were large and we were easily able to have 5 people exercising in the cool mornings while looking out on the Smokies. We only had one maintenance issue with the outside propane grill and it was fixed in under an hour even though we said there was no rush as we weren't planning on grilling until much later that night. The only negative comment I have is that listing on smokymountains.com is incorrect. While there is a hot tub, this cabin does NOT have access to a "Resort Pool". This was a slight disappointment as we had 5 children in our group of 17. (We made a trip to the Sevierville community pool one day and made up for it.) When I called the actual management company they indicated that the listing on their site was correct and they had no control over other descriptions of the property. Individuals should beware and not book through 3rd party sites.

Amazing View

To start off the house was ready earlier than normal check in time so we arrived to a very clean and spacious cabin. Location was great and had an amazing view of the mountain tops with wrap around decks with multiple chairs for everyone. Bedrooms were spotless and two large tables were great for family dinner. Would recommend to anyone looking for a getaway weekend with open floor plans to have everyone be collaborating together.

A Phenomenal Getaway

The entire house was more than what we could have expected for a weekend getaway. For the majority of our group, this was our first time in the Smoky Mountains and the views from the Big Bear Lodge made it an exceptional trip. Unfortunately the weather was not cooperative all weekend and we even woke up to snow on the ground on Sunday morning which forced us to have to stay in the lodge the majority of the trip. Thank you so much for providing us with an amazing cabin to have a great weekend.

Youth Retreat

We had 28 people for a weekend church youth retreat and there was plenty of space and entertainment for the kids. The cabin was well stocked with cooking items and toiletries. The views were amazing. The management was amazing at keeping us up to date on conditions around us (it was December and snowing) and made sure the cabin was up to our standards. The kids enjoyed themselves and would go back again.

Worth The Drive!

Big Bear Lodge sits at the very end of the access road, but the view, once there, is well worth the steep climb! It was spacious and comfortable furnished, boasting a second eating area on the top floor. Each level had its own veranda, so you could take in the view on every level.
