Our Honeymoon Highlight!
My wife Katie and I had a wonderful time. Our Cabin, the Urban Cowboy was amazing. The amenities make it so worth the price. The views are beautiful, the fireplaces really set the romantic tone you’d want on a couples getaway. The pool stayed pretty worm considering the outside temp. The mattress was very comfortable and soft. Water temps and pressure were amazing throughout the cabin. We loved the open floor plan of the main floor and third floor. Today 1/20/2025, we had to check out and head back home to our kids. But this morning, we woke up to a whole lot more than one inch of snow(the fallowing events are in NO way Elks fault, we blame only the incompetent and overpaid meteorologist that didn’t know what ONE inch looked like) Moving on, Had to push the car while Katie spun tires just trying to back out of our cabins parking spot. Got all the way to the main entrance to realize I had been dragging my pass side rear tire over the ice the whole way. Couldn’t get on the road of course because it would yank the car to the right, as soon as I got traction. But thank god, their GM was out pushing snow. That guy ended up being a life saver. We tried using his blow torch, we tried rocking back and forth, beating with his hammers, but the dang wheel keep seizing up. He had to run a call. So we called around to maybe 12-15 places. Because of all the cars in ditches it was going to be tomorrow before we got any help. Like a **** western, here comes our hero, the GM. This time he had a friend, tools, and a jack. Next thing I know Katie and I are standing there watching these complete strangers fix my drum breaks and refuse any form of payment. We plan to visit again at Elk Springs Resort. Also the GM deserves a raise, mans out here going the extra 100 miles for your guest. Thank yall for making our 10 year anniversary beautiful and relaxing. This trip was actually us taking a honeymoon, finally. So it is safe to say that I will recommend yall to everyon
